In November, I won the gorgeous print above from a giveaway hosted by Six Twelve Place.  The artist who produced this piece is Jessica Durrant and I can't get enough of her work.  She has a distinct style, that is original yet simply perfect.  See some of my favorite pieces below.

Striped Blazer

So what do you think about the new look for the blog?  I purchased a pre-made template from Danielle, and think it looks fantastic!  

I can't help but get excited about spring with all the new collections starting to pop up.  I can't get enough of stripes, and I'm drawn to blazers so logically I am LOVING something like this....

Seasoning a Cast Iron Skillet

A couple of months ago, I bought a cast iron skillet.  Within a couple uses I managed to strip the seasoning from the pan.  I'm not sure how this happened, since I wasn't using soap when cleaning, but none the less it happened.  Since then I haven't used the pan, because I wasn't exactly sure how to re-season it.  Today I stumbled across this on The Kitchn.  I don't think the process could be easier!

2012 Resolutions

I'm a little late writing down my new years resolutions (hence #5), but better late than never, right?

1.  Take yoga classes.

6.  Be creative.

I feel like I'm a creative person at heart, so why don't I embrace that creativity?  First off - a piece of abstract art.  I'll updated you on the outcome (if it turns out good).  Just kidding....kinda. 

Deux Lux

Yesterday I was perusing the internet and somehow stumbled across Deux Lux.  I love creative play-on-words like that.  :-)   Deux Lus carries handbags, weekend bags, comestic cases, key rings, and a few ipad cases.  Oprah even featured the pretty peach, sparkly number below in her December 2011 issue.  I would have no problem sporting these bags around town.

Here is my favorite though.  It is pracital, REVERSIBLE, and the tassels are too cute!

Style Icon: Olivia Palermo

Anyone not know of this Olivia I speak type about?  No one?  Yeah, didn't think so (boys don't count).   I have to say I wasn't a fan of her when she was on The City, I thought she was a total *itch.  But just as a cute, socialite trotting around New York - I think she is adorable and can't do wrong.  From black and white, stripes to fur, flats to heels, shorts to dresses, she rocks it all.

Since R (the boyfriend) and I were loving the Lonely Boy so much, I bought The Black Keys CD for him as Christmas gift.  Although, I will (no doubt) upload it to my itunes.  But to my point...

Watch Look-A-Like

Recently, I have noticed this watch from J. Crew popping up on some of my favorite blogs.  I love this classic little number, but didn't really know if I would wear it that much. 

Lucky for me, I was in Target the other day and stumbled upon this gem of a look-a-like.

I grabbed this pretty thang for $35.00, so even if I don't wear it everyday I'm sure I'll get my money out of it.  :-)

Target also carries the watch with a purple band; I think is pretty cute too.

It is 2012!

I hope everyone had a great New Year! I spent the time with friends in Kite, GA.  We managed to have a few drinks, shoot off fireworks, go duck hunting, and enjoy the pups.
