Kicking myself

This past weekend my mom and I hit up some estate sales.  I scored loads of goodies (which I have to take pictures and post), but there are a few items that I'm kicking myself for not scoping up!!  Can you guess what items I didn't buy?

If you didn't already guess, the answers are gold flatware and a set of black chinoiserie chairs.  The gold flatware was actually gold vermeil, but who cares.  It was a steal for a 5-piece setting for 12 people WITH a serving set!  The chairs look more like the armless chairs shown with the dining set, but they would have looked good flanking a console table in an entry.  Oh well....I will always find more things I don't need.  I plan on going estate-saling (yes, i used it as a verb) this weekend too.  :-)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Not just any folding chair...

While perusing the Ballard Design's website today, I noticed these lovies for half of the original price.  I've mentioned several times for my love of all things faux bamboo, and these were no exception.  These chairs would be perfect for someone with a small studio/apartment, who loves to entertain and throw dinner parties.

Only color left - gold!  Perfect!

Alfresco, please.

Atlanta is still having highs in the 80's, and I'm taking full advantage of it.  One of my favorite things to do during nice weather is to dine alfresco.  Good food and good weather?  What could be better? In the last three days, I've eaten as least three meals outside......I don't plan on breaking this streak anytime soon.

Do you all enjoy dining alfresco as much as I do?

I not saying....

I'm just saying....that this cologne is a-mazing!

The other week one of R's friends wore it and I was constantly smelling him.   Yes, leaning in smelling him.  Not ashamed.  It was is that good.

Dressing for the weather

Sorry for the lack of posts lately.  I've been under the weather, so I haven't been up for much of anything.  However, mi madre and I did go to Scott's Antique Market this past weekend.  We didn't find too much we couldn't live without, and because I'm suckie blogger I forgot to take pictures of our adventure.  I know, I was disappointed too when I remembered I didn't take any pictures.  I will do better next time.  Promise.

In Atlanta, it will be in the 70's and 80's this ENTIRE week, and since I live for this kind of weather, I'm going to round-up some maxi dresses that really should be in my closet.

Hope everyone is having a warm week too!

11 Questions

Last week, I stumbled across a blog that I am extremely excited about finding!  Charmaine writes the blog my best friend craig, where she documents her renovations and her decorating with budget friendly finds.  Seeing as I love Craig, she had me at hello.  On Monday, Charmaine tagged me in the 11 Questions game.  Thanks Charmaine!

Here are the rules:
1. You must post the rules.
2. Answer the 11 questions the tagger posted for you and then create 11 new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
3. Tag 11 people and link them in your post.
4. Let them know you have tagged them.

And now my answers to Charmaine's questions....
1. What is your design style?
Hmm, eclecticly glamorous.  I love being surrounded by things that have meaning and make you smile, but I also love a little glamor in my life.

2. What is your favorite room in your house?
My living room.  It isn't anywhere near finished, but I love having a fireplace during the winter time!

3. What is your dream vacation?
To travel Europe for a month.  I would be in heaven.

4. What is your favorite city?

Definitely spring and summer.

6. What is your proudest DIY project?
{via Sesshu Design}
After three months of listening to a faucet constantly drip, the boyfriend and I rolled up our sleeves and decided to remedy the situation ourselves.  The fix was soo easy I couldn't believe I waited that long to repair it!

7. What is your biggest indulgence?
Chocolate.  Or shopping.  No, chocolate, I think.

8. What is your favorite food?
Probably, steak, but I love food so this is a really difficult question for me.  Yeah, I'm a fattie.

9. Lake house or condo in the city?

37, 53, and 57

I posted here that I have put together (and started checking items off) my 101 in 1001 list.   Below I've listed some more goals.  I know this first one is probably going to be a shock, but it is something I'm not at all familiar with.  So without further ado....

37.  Learn photoshop.  Yes, that is correct; I've never used photoshop.  Some how I managed to go through all four and a half years of college without making one click in this program.  That has to change and the time is now.

57.  Ride in a hot air balloon.  Even though I will be scared out of my mind every second I am in the air, I think this would be sooo cool.  Extra points if it is during sunset.

53.  Try acupuncture.  For some reason, I think I would enjoy this.  Have any of you ever tried it?  I'll let you know what I think.
